Shotley Gate is a small village about ten miles south-east of Ipswich in Suffolk. I moved there in 1998 and stayed for eight years, during which time I created this informative page about the place.

In 2004 I created a masterpiece of scientific vegetable analysis entitled 'Which Poddington Pea Are You?'. It was a surprise and bewildering success, so I promptly added a 'Quizzes' page to my website. And subsequently never wrote another quiz.

Before developing arthritis in my little fingers at the age of 36 (struck down so young), I played the guitar in earnest, and created this page to showcase my musical talents. Or lack thereof.

Until Amelie was born in 2008 and started insisting that we watch nothing but Cbeebies all day, I used to be quite into horse racing. This page will be of no interest to anyone who doesn't share that passion, but it does feature a rather nice animated gif of a race horse.

In 2003, in the days before Wikipedia and the Internet Movie Database really took off, I wrote a page about my favourite films using nothing more than the back of a VHS video box and my own opinions. Like a lot of the films I wrote about, it's pretty dated but I kinda like it.
